What is Maff Metaverse Art Fest
It is a global art festival in Decentraland, featuring art-objects that were modeled at the Hackathon.
The mission of the Art Park is to enable creators to exhibit their objects in Decentraland. This is a unique opportunity as the value of land in this metaverse is $15,000. Moreover, this is an opportunity for creators to come into the spotlight and implement commercial projects that could be monetized within the art park.
THE CODEPOWER TEAM - MATAECOLOGY
In this project, we decided to turn to the topic of separate garbage collection and make a nice game out of it. Once the game starts, the user needs to collect fallen garbage for a certain period of time, correctly distributing it among the garbage bins. Depending on the decisions made, the planet in front of the player will either turn red, indicating an incorrect distribution, or take on its natural appearance.
THE KAMCHADAL TEAM - BEAT-KILLER The art-object is inspired by the themes of Masons, cyberpunk and undead ziggurats from Warcraft 3. Outwardly, it is a high-tech pyramid with neon lights and an animated ball on top. There is also an interior in the pyramid - you can get there using the entrance, designed as a portal to the void. Inside, the visitor is invited to play a rhythm game to earn points. A successful game with sufficient points allows the player to get a unique NFT, while a bad game allows the player to buy an NFT at the end
THE INCEPTION TEAM - CYBER TEMPLE A scene that combines an architectural object in the style of parametric modeling and an interactive art object in a puzzle game. The main installation is a unique platform in the form of a "squid" which can be controlled remotely. The "Squid" is self-sufficient as an art object, and can also be used to create game mechanics
The setting borrows the style of "The Matrix" to immediately immerse the player in the context of what is happening. Despite the eerie beauty of our installation, the sight of the elegant, sporty quivering bodies of our species’ counterparts in capsules forces the user to intuitively ponder life and death, what is and isn’t real
NEO AVANGARD TEAM - MUSEUM OF TIME
The main idea of the object is that the user can travel through time. The journey itself is powered by a time elevator, where the user independently chooses which era to go to. The elevator doors close and an unforgettable adventure begins. During the hackathon, we managed to implement 5 eras: Stone Age, Ancient Egypt, Ancient Greece, Middle Ages and the Age of Discovery. All eras feature interactive objects, such as pulling a sword from a stone, lighting a fire, and so on
THE VERSE IMPACT TEAM - CRYPTOCHESS
CryptoChess is the well-known intellectual chess game, elegantly redesigned in the style of CyberPunk, which makes it mysterious, futuristic and intensifies the games’ atmosphere of the future. That same future as the one of Decentraland. On the battlefield, there is a confrontation between the giants of the crypto industry - Ethereum and Binance. Whose side will you choose - it's up to you to decide in the exciting multiplayer from Verse Impact!
THE SHPUL'KE SQUAD TEAM - NON-EUCLIDEAN HOUSE
A small quest was created as a demonstration of the possibilities of non-Euclidean geometry within the framework of the metaverse. A player's task is to move a cube from a shelf to a table. The player enters a small house and finds himself in a large hall. When he takes the cube, the space begins to change. The user finds himself in endless corridors, junctions and other impossible spaces. Eventually he gets to the table and leaves the house
THE SPACE TEAM - NFT GALLERY "SILENT WITNESSES OF TIME"
An image at the intersection of architecture and an art-object. A visitor climbs the steps of the pedestal, like a Spanish conquistador who first walked the steps of an ancient Inca temple. The steps lead to an object hovering 3-5 meters in the air above them. Rising to the top platform of the pedestal, the visitor sees that the lower edge of the floating object goes deep into its own shape, forming sort of a funnel, aiming high upwards, to the very top of the object. This is a "portal", a point of transfer to the inner space of the gallery. This is a bifurcation point. Here, everyone must make a choice: to pass by or accept the red pill from Morpheus and see how deep the rabbit hole goes...
The INVADERS team - METAMUSICSEQUENCER A room with an interactive music sequencer that allows you to compose music with friends. In the center is a unique 3D art object “Meta-tree” created by the team. Participants can collaborate on creating music by interacting with the synthesizer
THE METADREAMERS TEAM - AIR HOCKEY
It is based on a simple and familiar game. We created a stylized location to put tables in. The architecture of the building references the aviation theme. At the top of the dome of the building is a jet engine turbine fan. The round building has 2 floors with a spiral staircase, 3 entrances at an angle of 120 degrees. Second floor can feature: a bar, a shop with branded products
